THE QUIET CENTRE, UNIVERSITY OF SURREY, STAG HILL, GUILDFORD GU2 7XH
Please try to arrive early so as not to disturb the others. It will take 15 mins to walk from your car to the session or meeting at The Quiet Centre. It may be wise to print offf these directions and take them with you the first time.
DIRECTIONS (print and bring with you):
Venue: The Quiet Centre, University of Surrey, Stag Hill, Guildford. There is no need to enter the University Campus. Instead, drive up the Cathedral approach road.
Parking: (NB: Those of you who used to take a shortcut through the ‘hole in the hedge’, note that that the hole has been sealed.) Drive up the Cathedral approach road (not into the University), over a hump, take first left in front of "Diocese of Guildford Education" building into the car park. You are allowed to park there. If challenged say you are there for a meeting of the "University Chaplaincy" led by "Prof Geoff Hunt". Please do not park in the other Cathedral car parks.
Directions to Quiet Centre (QC): walk back out of the car park, turn left alongside cathedral buildings on your left, just past the Gift shop turn into a small alley "To Wates" between the buildings, down the steps for about 100 yards, under the Wates House bridge (a restaurant in fact), down a few steps, turn left to follow the road downwards 100 yds, (you will see The Library on your right in the distance). Stop at the fork in the road and go left following the "Guildford, Cathedral and Twyford Courts" direction on the signboards, i.e. UP the road (uphill). Walk about 100 yards towards the student 'Courts', and where the road ends you walk ahead of you on the pavement between student halls, then bearing to your left behind a hall you will follow a narrow path with shallow steps towards a circular building (the Quiet Centre). You are now on the other side fence from the Education car park! Allow 10 minutes to walk from car park to Quiet Centre.

THE SPIKE COMMUNITY CENTRE, WARREN RD, GULDFORD
The Spike is a community centre close to the heart of Guildford. It is no longer used by NBW for the regular Sunday session, but only for special events such as festival days.The address is:

Near to the city end of Epsom Rd. Note that Warren Rd is a one-way street and can only
be entered from the city side.

It is a listed building, spacious, quiet, newly refurbished, warm, and accessible,
with kitchen. Plenty of free parking.
Train: nearest is London Road, Guildford (not the main Guildford station).
On arrival go to the right of the building, through iron gate, and down to the side entrance to The Undercroft room..
There is a ramp for wheelchair access.
