THE LONDON SESSIONS
New Buddha Way offers a Beginners' and Newcomers' Class in central London, not far from Trafalgar Square and Leicester Square. This is the basic entry course for attending NBW's regular and free meditation sessions in London and/or Guildford.
Next class begins: Date to be announced here soon. It is always on a Wednesday evening, 6.30-9.30 pm.
Price: The London venue is expensive for NBW, so a donation of requested of £5 for all those who are able to afford it. NBW is non-profit and does not charge for teaching the dhamma (Buddha dharma). This price is only to cover the venue hire and operational costs.
Places: limited to a maximum of 20. Book early.
Venue: Near St Martin's Lane, nearest tube: Leicester Square.
Price Includes:
- Meditation sessions - Structured verbal Instruction in the Ethics, Meditation and Understanding dimensions of the dhamma - Practical exercises and discussion - Website question and answer sessions, and home exercises - A set of three Manuals, 96 pages each, published by Laleston Press, and normally costing over £24 on Amazon, but offered at the class for £5 each.
The NBW Approach:
This is the direct 'no-metaphysics, no-orientalism, no-guru' approach of New Buddha Way as explained elsewhere on this website. It is participatory and engaged with daily life in the world as it is now. It makes sense.

Instructor: Geoffrey Hunt, Buddhist Chaplain for the University of Surrey, Professor of Philosophy, some experience in Rinzai, Theravada and Jodo, founder of New Buddha Way, has taught the Dhamma for over 8 years, chair of two hospice ethics committees, international speaker on ethical issues. He is assisted by the NBW team.
