RETREATS

To attend a NBW retreat you are required to have taken our Newcomers' & Beginners' Class and at least one of the regular meditation sessions.

2012 RETREATS 

Participation in an NBW 24-hour retreat in 2012 costs GBP55.50 pounds (fifty five pounds fifty pence). This is a non-profit fee, covering the cost of the venue and food. NBW is prepared to subsidise two places for those who cannot afford it. You can inquire and/or book now by contacting us at retreats@newbuddhaway.org

1) 3rd-4th February 2012, at Ladywell Convent, Godalming. 

2) 4-5th May 2012, at St Michael's Convent, Ham (Richmond).

3) 14-15th September 2012, at St Michael's Convent, Ham (Richmond).


SAMPLE OF PREVIOUS RETREATS
18th-19th November 2011
Retreat at St Michael's Convent, Ham (near Richmond), from 5pm on Friday  to 5pm on Saturday 19th November 2011. Full board and lodge only 47.50 UK pounds. Fully booked. Dharma talk on 'interdependence'.

6-8th Aug 2010
NBW retreat , held at St Columba's House, Woking, from 6 pm Friday 6th Aug to 4pm Sunday 8th August 2010. Nine people attended. The theme was 'How are wisdom and compassion connected?'
9-11th April 2010
The NBW Spring Retreat took place at St Columba's House, Woking over the weekend of 9-11th April 2010. There were nine participants, and the Dharma Discussion was 'What the Buddha actually taught about mindfulness'. The retreat concluded with a Dharma Reading from the Mahanidana Sutta.

11-13th December 2009
Our weekend Winter Retreat at St Columba's House, Woking was attended by 12 people, six of whom were new to NBW retreats. Besides meditation sessions, there was a Dharma Discussion on 'Birth/Death and Unborn/Undying'. The retreat concluded with a Dharma Reading of the Heart Sutra with a commentary.
